Jubin Nautiyal is a singer and composer from India. He was named the 8th Mirchi Music Awards’ emerging Male Vocalist for Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s song “Zindagi Kuch Toh Bataa.” Nautiyal has also received several honours for his outstanding singing and performance. Throughout his career, he sung several successful songs. Aside from that, he has recorded songs in a variety of Indian languages.

Early

He attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun through the eighth grade. Following that, he continued his education at the Welham Boys’ School in Dehradun, where he formally studied music as a subject and established a foundation in classical music. He also learnt how to play the guitar, piano, harmonium, and drums. He went to Mumbai in 2007 after finishing high school and enrolled in Mithibai College. He completed his music studies and immersed himself in the Indian cinema music culture.

During this period, A R Rehman complimented him on the quality of his voice and advised him to continue working on it for a few more years before entering the Indian music business. And was trained by her school’s instructor, Mrs. Vandana Srivastava. Sri Samanta, his tutor, also taught him further music in Hindustani classical music. Jubin went to Banaras to study light classical with Channulal Mishra. He also studied western music at a music institution in Chennai, where he had the opportunity to learn under famous guitarist Prasanna. Jubin debuted as one among the top 25 candidates on the television music reality show X Factor in 2011.
