In response to an alleged se**x tape that was lea**ked online in early February, TDE rapper Isaiah Rashad has made his first official comments addressing his se**xuality. Rashad appeared to be having se**xual relations with other men in the video. Rashad is now speaking out about the ordeal in a new interview with Joe Budden.
The 31-year-old musician told Budden, “I’d say I’m se**xually fluid.” “It’s something I’m still learning about.” I’m putting my head in the books to figure out the basics, but basically, I’m not in complete control of who I’m attracted to when I walk into a room.”
Rashad elaborated on his se**xual orientation, saying that he tries to “have an understanding with [himself]” so that he doesn’t have preconceived notions about who he’ll find attractive. “I’m more drawn to people who have personalities.” I’m sometimes more drawn to intellectual pursuits. “And sometimes it’s just being drawn to someone,” he added.
Rashad, who has always been careful with his words in the media, did not respond to the lea**k for several months. In April, he gave his first response at the start of his Coachella set. Rashad shared a video mash-up of reactions to the news during the performance, including one of Budden himself talking about how the lea**k actually improved his streaming numbers and chart position. Before starting his first song, Rashad told the crowd, “I see all the messages and all that shit, all the positivity.” “You n-ggas have kept me alive for the past few months.” (When Rashad found out about the video, he said he crashed his car.)
During the conversation, Rashad discussed a variety of personal issues he was dealing with at the time the video was posted, including his grandfather’s untimely death and his grandmother’s battle with cancer. He also stated that this trying period has brought his family closer together.
“I haven’t given it a second thought, man.” I’ve just been trying to keep my wits about me. He explained, “It’s been a time for my family to come together.” “Out of everything, it’s been a blessing that, with that happening, my grandfather dying a few days later, and my grandmother going through what she’s gone through, it’s brought my family closer together than they’ve ever been.”
The rapper revealed that he is in a relationship, and that his current partner-who he referred to as “she”-has aided him in his personal development and realisation. Rashad told Budden that he wasn’t planning on filing a lawsuit against the lea**ker.
