Global star Robert Pattinson, who will play Bruce Wayne in the highly anticipated film ‘The Batman,’ recently said that even his agency was taken aback by the announcement that the actor would be playing the part.
While discussing it, Pattinson said that he was aiming for something completely different. “Obviously, it’s the crown gem of the parts you can actually acquire as an actor.” But I never imagined I’d be anywhere close to accomplishing it, especially with the other roles I was interested in at the time,” he remarked of seeking the job.
I just kept obsessively checking up on it for the next year or so, Pattinson added. Even my agents were like, Oh, interesting. I thought you only wanted to play total freaks? And I was like, He is a freak!’
The film ‘The Batman’ is supposed to be two hours and 55 minutes long. As such, it is the longest-running solo Batman film and one of the longest for a theatrical superhero film, trailing rival Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, which ran three hours and one minute on its way to becoming the No. 2 highest-grossing film of all time at the global box office, not adjusted for inflation. On March 4, the film will be released in theatres around the country.
