The horrifying incident reportedly took place at the school on Friday, July 22, 2022, in the Khoehefiza neighbourhood of Bhubneshwar. The girl’s parents complained to the local police station on Saturday, which is how the information was made public. According to the authorities, the girl had gone to the restroom during lunchtime when she was seized by the watchman and molested.
Watchman allegedly raps a minor girl
The accused fled after attempting the horrific crime as the girl began to sob in agony. The girl was in pain, and other students noticed this and alerted the staff. The school staff called the police and reported the incident after learning the details. According to the teachers, the young girl claimed that an uncle in a yellow T-shirt led her to the restroom and made her remove her clothes.
The unfortunate news was also shared with the girl’s parents, who promptly went to the Khoehefiza police station to file a complaint. During the questioning, the victim recognised the suspect. He was the school’s watchman, Laxminarayan Dhanak. The criminal was quickly apprehended by the police, who then took him to the station for more questioning.
The young girl had just started school, according to the police officers. A police officer who spoke to the media about the incident said that it is a serious matter that a girl was raped on the grounds of the school.
