The future of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Spotify arrangement has raised concerns when the streaming giant decided to take matters into their own hands.
In more than a year, the couple had failed to generate material under their £18 million deal.
According to a royal expert, this move comes as no surprise because the streaming behemoth is supposed to desire the most “bang for their money.”
“We heard about what these mega-deals that they’d signed and there were tremendous numbers being thrown around $100 million and stuff like that,” royal analyst Kate Mansey told Palace Confidential.
“However, we’ve only had one episode of the podcast, and that’s all.”
“We expected to hear something about it by now.”
“Perhaps it’s that they haven’t delivered what some of the TV execs might have expected.”
She added: “Yes, they are reasonably big names but they are going to want bang for their buck, as the Americans say.
“And if that’s not being delivered, they’re going to start looking at the letter of the contract.”
