Song “Madhuban” by Sunny Leone, Kanika Kapoor in controversy

Mathura’s saints have condemned Sunny Leone’s new song Madhuban, which Kanika Kapoor has sang. They have asked the authorities to take action against the song and the actress for making ‘obscene moves.’

Sunny Leone’s new song, Madhuban, sparked outrage shortly after its release. Sunny appears in the song in a hot avatar, showing her dance talents. The song elicited a range of reactions from listeners. And now, a segment of the audience is denouncing Madhuban song for her ‘obscene actions.’ The saints of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, have requested that the song be banned. Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna, thus the saints believe the Ek Paheli Leela actress has offended their holy emotions with her ‘obscene actions.’ According to reports, Saint Naval Giri Maharaj of Vrindavan has requested that the authorities take harsh action against the actress.

And if the government does not take action against the actress and the Madhuban song, they will take the matter to court. In addition, the saint has sought an apology. According to reports, if they are not allowed to live in the nation, they will be deported.

Mahesh Pathak of the Akhil Bhartiya Teerth Purohit Mahasabha has also spoken out against the Madhuban song, claiming that it has harmed the image of Lord Krishna’s Brajbhoomi. Sunny Leone and Kanika Kapoor have yet to respond. Madhuban was released as a party song by the label Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Sunny Leone had previously courted controversy with her songs Baby Doll and Piya More. Baby Doll was also called up for inappr**opriate dancing. Piya More became embroiled in a scandal when the song’s creators were accused of plagiarism. The creators were accused of plagiarising the song Nasha Sar Pe Chadke Bole. Returning to Madhuban, the song was performed by Mohammad Rafi in 1960 for the film Kohinoor. Kanika Kapoor and Sunny Leone promoted their song on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 15 last week during Weekend Ka Vaar.
