Son of Prime Minister’s wife charged for possessing liquor

Musa Maneka, the younger son of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, from a previous marriage, was detained on allegations of alcohol possession.

Muhammad Musa Maneka, his cousin Mohammad Ahmad Maneka, son of PML-N MNA Ahmed Raza Maneka, and a friend Ahmad Shaharyar have all been charged with a First Information Report (FIR).

Ghalib Market police collected liquor from their automobile early on Monday while passing a police picket on Zahoor Elahi Road, according to the FIR. The suspects were apprehended, and a criminal complaint was filed against them. The three accused were charged under subsections 3, 4, and 11 of The Prohibition (Enforcement of Hadd Order, 1979).

Following his hospital evaluation, Shaharyar was discovered to be inebriated. Musa and Ahmed were eventually freed on the personal assurance of a Maneka family member since they had not ingested the illegal drug at the time. Shaharyar was granted bail by the court, and the police sent a sample of the discovered liquor to be forensically examined.
