Siddhant Chaturvedi has spoken up about shooting intimate moments for ‘Gehraiyaan.’ Deepika Padukone was described as a “professional” by the actor.
Siddhant Chaturvedi has spoken out about filming personal moments in his recent film, Gehraiyaan.
The actor also responded to critics who demanded that he and Deepika Padukone obtain “permission” from Ranveer Singh before performing intimate sequences together.
In a recent interview, Siddhant stated that he was not upset by the comments.
Gully Boy, in which he co-starred alongside Ranveer Singh, was his feature film debut.
Siddhant stated that statements implying that he and Deepika required Ranveer’s consent did not enrage him and clarified his views.
“It doesn’t genuinely irritate him since we are pros and know our math,” he explained.
“I recall Ranveer coming to Goa for a few days while we were filming for this film.”
“We relaxed and had a good time. In fact, he was the first person I phoned after signing the film, and he was overjoyed.
“He’s been showering me with affection since Gully Boy, and he’s my life mentor, so it was good.”
“Deepika is an expert.” What can one say when people say such things? “We’re simply doing our job,” is all that can be said.
Deepika Padukone’s character, Alisha, had an affair with Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character, Zain, in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan.
Siddhant went on to say that he and Deepika were merely following Shakun’s idea, and that intimacy director Dar Gai’s direction made their job much easier.
“I think we executed it in the most graceful way with an intimate director Dar Gai coming on board,” he remarked.
“It took a little time for me to get into it as well, but it was incredibly crucial since it wasn’t intended to be for shock value.”
“It was in the movie.
“Now that you’ve seen the picture, you realise it’s not forced or anything.” It’s there because it’s a part of the plot.”
Deepika’s performance in Gehraiyaan impressed Ranveer.
Ranveer praised her performance, saying, “Everywhere I go, people are simply raving about how brilliant you were in this film!”
“You deserve every bit of it, my Jaan!”
“What a wonderful artist you are!” Incredible representation. It’s genuine magic.”
Deepika has described the audience’s reaction to her performance as “dizzying.”
Deepika shared a series of stills from the film in the post, writing:
