Politician Dr Shahbaz Gill arrested for inciting members of state institutions

Shahbaz Gill, a senior PTI figure and the party’s chairman, was detained on Tuesday for inciting the populace against the state’s institutions, according to an Islamabad police spokesperson.

Shahbaz Gill was detained, according to the spokesperson, “for making remarks against the state institutions and inciting the people to rebellion.”

According to the spokesperson, a case has been opened at the Banigala Police Station against the PTI leader. The FIR also included clauses relating to inciting people against state institutions and their leaders.

It is important to note that the PTI leader tried to incite hatred in the Pakistan Army the day before while speaking on ARY News.

Gill had threatened senior bureaucrats and used derogatory language toward the journalists. The PTI leader had a history of making crude remarks about his political rivals and engaging in personal attacks.

This is not an arrest, this is an abduction.

Imran Khan, the head of the PTI, has referred to Gill’s arrest as a “abduction.”

Imran Khan shared the driver for Gill’s video statement in which the PTI leader claimed to have been tortured and dragged from the car.

This is not an arrest; this is an abduction. Can such despicable actions occur in any democracy? political employees are viewed as adversaries. And it’s all to persuade us to accept a corrupt government that receives support from abroad.

PTI demanded Gill’s immediate release after posting a video of his car with broken glasses.

For the second time in recent months, Gill was taken into custody today.

Shahbaz Gill was detained by the Punjab police on July 17 in Muzaffargarh for allegedly going to various polling places during the city’s by-elections with security guards who were posing as FC employees.

However, Gill refuted claims that he kept security guards dressed as FC officials and asserted that he had been working for three hours before being unexpectedly detained without a warrant.

Former federal minister and PTI leader Murad Saeed tweeted a confirmation of the news.

Speaking to ARY News, Fawad Chaudhry claimed that while being detained at Bani Gala Chowk, he was tortured by staff members who were dressed in formal attire.

Fawad Chaudhry claimed that his party mate was arrested and dragged out of the car, adding that they do not know who made the arrest or what the charges will be.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had earlier been threatened with arrest if he failed to show up before a committee looking into cases of torture involving Azadi March participants, according to PTI leader and former SAPM Dr. Shahbaz Gill.
