Peshawar mosque blast kills at least 30 people and injures 50 more.

On Friday, a bomb exploded at a mosque in Peshawar’s Qissa Khawani Bazaar, killing at least 30 people and injuring 50 more.

The incident occurred during Friday prayers at Jamia mosque near Kocha Risaldar Chowk, according to reports. At least 20 individuals were hurt in the blast, according to police.

Rescue crews have arrived at the scene and are transporting the injured to Lady Reading Hospital. The hospital has declared an emergency, and ten people are in critical condition. According to a hospital spokesperson, 50 individuals were injured and taken to the hospital.

The area has been blocked off by police and security teams, who have begun collecting evidence. Residents are also assisting in transferring the injured, while rescue professionals are finding it difficult to carry out rescue operations due to the market’s narrow, packed streets.

Ijaz Ahsan, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar, stated that one police officer was killed. Inti, he said, two alleged assailants attempted to enter a mosque and fired at the police officers on duty. As a result, one cop was killed and the other was seriously injured.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has denounced the terror attack and ordered a full investigation into the incident. He also ordered the government to provide the injured with every conceivable facility.
