Pervez Khattak, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Defense Minister, has denied making any statements against the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi over the demand for the chief ministership in Punjab.
In a tweet, the senior PTI leader refuted a statement attributed to him during talks on a no-confidence motion with the PML-Q, claiming that he had not made any media statements against the PML-Q or Pervaiz Elahi.
Im in contact with all our allies on a daily basis,
he said on twitter.
His comments came in the wake of a tweet from Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi, in which he shared a news report quoting Pervez Khattak as saying that he had rejected the PML-demand Q’s for the Punjab chief minister’s slot, and asked the latter to accept the demand from the PML-N if they were offering it to them.
