Imran Riaz Khan, a journalist, had his YouTube account hacked on Thursday.
In a tweet, Imran Riaz Khan claimed that the platform had deleted all of the videos he had posted there. The journalist had more than 3.4 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. In honor of a bitcoin, the channel’s name had also been changed to Ethereum 2.0. He lamented how some had planned to hack his channel in a subsequent tweet. What a blessing it would have been if the same energy had been used to advance the country, he said. He predicted that the channel would be restored in under two hours.
Soon after, the channel was once again available. Imran Riaz Khan also tweeted to confirm the same.
“Restored, thank Allah Next time, better luck, the journalist tweeted.
Imran, a vocal opponent of Shehbaz Sharif, the leader of the governing coalition, was taken into custody in July after his name appeared in several cases. His arrest at the Islamabad Toll Plaza received negative press across the country.
