Shehla Khan, Amjad’s wife, recalled the entire incident that occurred prior to the filming of his film “The Great Gambler” (released in the year 1979). She shared the horrific incident, saying that it happened in Sawantwadi, near Goa, when she was 6 months pregnant, and that it was a very serious accident. Amjad was suffocating for breath and bleeding internally as 13 of his ribs and femur were broken while she was still dealing with the accident. Despite his worsening condition, he was “more concerned” about her and the loss of the child.

Hoax on Amitabh Bachchan’s Death

“A mob gathered outside the hospital in Sawantwadi,” Shehla told the news outlet. “Bring Gabbar Singh outside,” the mob chanted over and over. “Amitji and Amjad are very close to each other,” she continued. Amitji must be concerned because no one knows if this individual will survive. Amjad was taken aback when he wrote the word “tracheostomy” on a piece of paper. He asked Amit Ji if he would follow her orders. He could even spell complex words correctly in the state. We booked a flight to Mumbai shortly after that. We stayed in Nanavati Hospital for about three months.”

The Big Gambler, directed by Shakti Samanta, is an action crime thriller in layman’s terms. Neetu Singh, Prem Chopra, and Zeenat Aman also play pivotal roles. Originally, Amjad was cast in the film, but due to his serious accident, Utpal Dutt was cast in his place. That’s all for this news; we’ll be back with more soon; in the meantime, stay tuned with us.
