Iqra Aziz angry by the decision to ban the film ‘Javed Iqbal’

As previously reported, the screening of ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer,’ starring actor Yasir Hussain, was recently suspended in Punjab, and Mrs. Hussain appears to be dissatisfied with the Punjab government’s decision.

The film, which is slated to have its national premiere today after being delayed for several months, has been released across the country with the exception of Punjab.

Now, Iqra Aziz, the enraged actress and wife of Yasir Hussain, has taken to Instagram to ask why people can’t just accept that what happened in the 1990s.

PEMRA, according to Aziz, has not seen Ted Bundy’s videos. Sarcastically, she poked fun at the regulating body. Ted Bundy was a well-known serial murderer in the United States during the 1980s.

The film, a biography of Javed Iqbal, a serial murderer who murdered 100 boys in Lahore and presented police with evidence of his crimes in 1999, is set to open in theatres across the country today. The film was directed by Abu Aleeha, who also wrote the screenplay.

Javed Iqbal was meant to be released in October, but the premiere date was moved back to December 24 due to censor board approval. The film’s release date was pushed back still further because to an increase of Covid-19 instances. The release date has been pushed back to January 28.
