According to ARY News, a mob in Jhang brutally tortured Nawaz (PML-N) Iftikhar Baloch, a former Pakistan Muslim League member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA).
Iftikhar Baloch’s vehicle was surrounded by a group of at least ten men brandishing sticks, belts, and other weapons near Kala Balian, close to the Masan police station, during the incident.
Iftikhar Baloch ran in the most recent Punjab by-election in PP-125 Jhang-II as well and came in third.
When MPA Iftikhar Baloch and his driver were passing through the road, the unidentified assailants arrived in two cars. In order to stop their car, the attackers blocked the road, and after dragging them out of it, they brutally tortured them.
After receiving the information, the police arrived at the location. MPA Iftikhar Baloch declined to report a crime or request legal action. The former provincial lawmaker vowed to deal with the assailants on his own.

According to Geo News, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz requested a report from the inspector general (IG) on Wednesday in response to the attack on former MPA Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Baloch in Jhang.
The former MP was attacked while he was travelling by unidentified individuals.
His clothes were torn and he was receiving constant insults, as seen in a video that went viral on social media.
Hamza ordered the IG to make the arrests of the perpetrators after the incident.
According to the police, a team has been assembled under the chief minister’s supervision to apprehend those responsible for the MP’s attack.
Despite Iftikhar refusing to cooperate with police, a case has been opened as a result of a meeting between Iftikhar and Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Usman Munir Saifi.
