A picture of former DG ISI General Zaheer ul Islam has gone viral on social media. In this photo, General Zaheer ul Islam is standing in front of a dice with the PTI banner on it. According to details, former DG ISI General (retd) Zaheer ul Islam announced his support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Col (retd) Muhammad Shabbir Awan in PP-7 Rawalpindi constituency of Punjab. The former DG ISI also organized an election rally in support of the PTI candidate at his residence in Kahuta Motor.
The photo of former DG ISI General Zaheer ul Islam drew an unusual reaction on social media. Saleem Safi tweeted, “This is not the case … The retired soldier who has to do politics should become a politician openly in the same way. Like General (R) Zaheer-ul-Islam, he should openly join PTI and stand in the line of Shibli Faraz and Shahbaz Gill.
