For a long time, this generation has been obsessed with gaining popularity on social media. In order to achieve instat fame, people use a variety of methods. It can sometimes catapult you to overnight celebrity, but it can also land you in serious legal trouble and lead to criminal charges.
A Delhi woman recorded a few dance videos with her young son and shared them on social media. This sounded cute at first, but the dance videos’ visuals are extremely vulgar and obscene. This amounts to the minor child being exposed to highly objectionable and obscene conduct at a young age, which is unacceptable in a civilised society.
The Delhi Commission for Women has now intervened in the case and has given the Delhi Police notice to file a FIR against the woman.
“In this case, the child is taught to objectify women by her own mother at such a young age. In a civilised society, such content is shameful and highly objectionable,” DCW stated in a press release.
The videos were posted on Instagram, but the woman later removed them after receiving backlash from other users. On Instagram, the woman who uploaded the videos has over 1.6 lakh followers.
DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal has requested that the woman be prosecuted and that the online content be removed immediately. She also stated that genuine counselling and rehabilitation will be provided to the minor.
