Fawad Ch: Govt should not get involved such as ‘ Aurat March ‘ issues

Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting, has stated that the government should not be involved in problems such as the Aurat March.

According to information, the Federal Minister of Religious Affairs, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, submitted a letter to the Prime Minister opposing the Aurat March and suggesting that Hijab Day be celebrated. PPP Senator Sherry Rehman, on the other side, referred to her letter as a plot against women’s rights.

Fawad Chaudhry, rejecting the proposal to prohibit the Aurat March, stated that the government should not become a party in matters such as what clothing to wear and what not to wear. If the government begins to make such judgments, he says, we would follow India.

In response to the unpleasant chants, Fawad Chaudhry stated that after examining the slogans that sparked outrage, it was discovered that the words had been altered in Photoshop. They have nothing to do with the slogans used in the Aurat March, he claims.
