A massive fire erupted in a shopping plaza on Lahore’s main boulevard, Gulberg III.
The fire has spread to the plaza’s second, third, and fourth floors. After receiving information, more than 20 rescue vehicles and more than 50 firefighters arrived on the scene to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, as is the extent of the damage. According to rescue officials, no one was injured in the incident, and the fire was brought under control after hours of fighting. The cooling process was currently underway.
Separately, firefighters put out a fire that had erupted at an electronic factory after a 14-hour battle.
On Multan Road, a fire erupted at a local electronic plant, destroying machinery and raw materials worth millions of rupees. The fire spread to other parts of the factory due to the presence of incendiary/ignitable material on-site.
Lahore firefighters brought the fire under control, and the cooling process is currently underway.
Hearing the news of the fire, the factory’s Managing Director (MD), 60-year-old Sarfaraz, suffered a heart attack and died.
