Farukh Khokhar is Detained in a Case of Wife Murder
The body of Farrukh Imtiaz Khokhar’s wife was discovered on Sunday in the Dhoke Gangal residence in Rawalpindi.
Ramsha, a mother of four, had visible signs of strangulation all over her neck.
Ali Raza, her brother, claims that she was killed by her husband and then hung from a ceiling fan in his home.
Ramsha and Farrukh Khokhar wed around 14 years ago, according to an FIR Raza filed with the airport police.
He continued by saying that Khokhar had been abusing his wife and would frequently make homicidal threats.
He had a girl with whom he had a relationship, and they frequently traveled together.
Ramsha told Ali Raza and her father that Farrukh had threatened to kill her five days before she was killed.
With his girlfriend, Farrukh traveled to Qatar and returned at three in the morning on Sunday. As soon as he arrived home, he allegedly began taunting and verbally abusing his wife, according to the FIR.
Around nine in the morning, Ali Raza received a call from his brother-in-law, Mohammad Imtiaz, informing him that Ramsha had been discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in her husband’s home.
Ramsha was found hanging with her dupatta tied around her neck by Raza and his other brother-in-law, Umar Imtiaz, when they rushed to Farrukh’s home.
My sister had passed away. Nothing was lying beneath her body, and there were two marks of strangulation around her neck, he noted in the report.
He also stated in the FIR that Farrukh called him on WhatsApp and threatened him with serious repercussions.
Raza is of the opinion that Samar Imtiaz assisted Farrukh in murdering his sister.
The body has been transported by the police to the District Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy.
The initial police report indicated that Ramsha’s body was found on the floor with black marks around her neck.
