The car that Prince William and Kate Middleton drove in 2013 is due to be auctioned off by Bonhams in Oxfordshire next month.
The luxurious sedan, which was formerly used by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is up for auction on May 22 and is estimated to fetch about $50,000.
It was originally given to the Royal Household by Land Rover’s VIP Department in 2013 for the royal couple’s personal use. The 4×4 was purchased by a private owner in July 2020 and is estimated to sell for between $42,000 and $56,000.
The formal royal vehicle travelled less than 39,000 miles in eight years and is said to be in outstanding shape with a complete garage background.
The Royal Family has reportedly had a seven-decade relationship with the British company. During this time, several senior royals were seen driving or getting behind the wheel of various Land Rover models.
Kate and William’s previous vehicle, which has been a common preference among the Windsors, has optional accessories such as heated front and rear seats, a panoramic glass windshield, side steps, a remote garage door opener, and a drinks fridge.
