Son Name of Tariq Bashir Cheema
Chaudhry Walidad Cheema is the name of Tariq Bashir Cheema’s son. Tariq Bashir Cheema learned that his son had developed an Ice (methamphetamine) addiction and was using blackmail to sexually exploit hundreds of female students at the Islamic University Bahawalpur. The potential political harm that could result from the release of the videos of Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema’s son Walidad was warned to him. Surprisingly, it was also discovered that Major Ijaz Shah, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s security chief, was also involved in the scandal.
In response, Federal Minister Chaudhry Tariq Bashir Cheema made contact with nearby police officers and asked them to help him save his son. In order to stop his son Chaudhry Walidad Cheema from being publicly exposed on social media, he also demanded the arrest of Ijaz Shah and the confiscation of explicit videos and images.

Tariq Bashir Cheema, a federal minister, declared on Sunday that if his son was found guilty in the Islamia University Bahawalpur scandal, he would evict him from his house.
At a press conference in Bahawalpur, National Food Security and Research Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema said, “If my son is found guilty, I myself will evict him from home. “We are prepared to appear before any committee,”
His response comes after his son Wali Dad Cheema, who was sitting next to him in the press conference, was implicated in the varsity’s drug and sex trade. Police claim to have discovered “innumerable obscene videos and photographs of women” from one of the suspects, who is one of three suspects they have so far arrested.
The Higher Education Commission established a five-person fact-finding committee on Saturday to determine whether the university administration was complicit in the allegations of harassment and exploitation of students and faculty members.
He criticized the “way” journalism worked, where girls’ futures were jeopardized for political gain, and he reaffirmed the need for anyone with evidence to come forward. However, Cheema continued that the vice chancellor was to blame for the “lot of mess” that existed within the university.
Dr. Athar Mehboob, the former vice chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur, demanded proof last week when he spoke to the media about the alleged discovery of thousands of pornographic videos on three university officials who were detained the previous week. He asserted that two of the three university officials detained were “honey-trapped”.
The federal minister continued by saying that every six months, a fresh accusation was brought against him. He stated that the vice premier of China’s visit to Pakistan was the catalyst for the emergency press conference.
He cautioned that if the university had been notified, the situation might have gotten worse. Cheema attributed his political adversaries’ “playing such games” to them.
The federal minister revealed that he has sued everyone who has criticized him for defamation.
While propagandists would assert that all committees were established to support Cheema, he asserted that the issue involved the local girls. The minister continued by saying that he had written a letter to Punjab’s acting chief minister requesting that a judicial investigation be conducted.
He continued by saying that both parents and students were hesitant to enroll in the university.
He urged his political rivals to consider the future of girls and said, “If there is a video, bring it to light.”
Everyone should appear before the committee, according to the federal minister.
At the City Police Station, a complaint was made to register a case against the vice-chancellor of the university.
According to the report, Athar Mehboob, the former vice-chancellor of the university, had a duty to stop such incidents as the institution’s leader. It claimed that Mehboob was totally powerless to put a stop to such despicable incidents.
According to the complaint made by a citizen by the name of Chaudhry Sohail Ahmed, “Such actions in a holy institution of the university teaching have brought the Islamia university into international disrepute.”
The main suspect in the IUB scandal must be arrested, says civil society
Lawyers, journalists, and writers from civil society have banded together to demand Wali Dad Cheema, the primary suspect in the drug and video scandal at Islamia University Bahawalpur, be detained right away and thoroughly investigated. At University Chowk, penna flakes were organized as a part of their protest.
The scandal has had a significant impact on the neighborhood and brought shame upon the esteemed Bahawalpur educational and research institution. Participants in the protest emphasized that severe punishment should be meted out to those who are to blame for the university’s reputation being tarnished, reflecting the level of shame that such a scandal has brought to the community.
Additionally, they expressed worry about the scandal’s negative effects on women’s education in the area. They emphasized that women had previously had trouble getting access to education and that this scandal has only made matters worse.
Razish Liaqat Puri, a renowned columnist, poet, and journalist, praised the university’s advancements during vice chancellor Athar Mehboob’s four-year term. However, the most recent scandal has outraged the residents of Bahawalpur, prompting widespread demonstrations against those responsible for smearing the institution.
Wali Dad Cheema, the son of Federal Minister Tariq Cheema, is the subject of attention because he is frequently connected to the scandal via social media and reliable sources. Members of civil society demand that the police act quickly to detain Wali Dad and launch a thorough investigation to elucidate additional details of the case.
Senior political figure Allama Iqbal Wasim said that those responsible for the scandal cannot be pardoned because it directly affects the future of the children in the area. He vowed to protest anyone who disparaged Bahawalpur, a city renowned for its cleanliness and peace.
The Lawyers Forum’s leader, Jam Yasir Advocate, emphasized the critical nature of Wali Dad Cheema’s arrest as strong evidence implicates him in the scandal. In light of the negative effects on women’s education in the region, the protesters have vowed to not allow anyone to tarnish Bahawalpur’s reputation and have called for a transparent investigation into the incident. To get Wali’s Dad’s perspective, The Minute Mirror attempted to contact him but was unsuccessful. If he does, the newspaper will run his version.
