Imran Khan will remain Prime Minister for the next 15 days, according to former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed.

In a statement, the former minister said he met with Prime Minister Imran Khan and predicted that he would stay in office for another 15 days, adding that he was always saying that elections were the best way forward.

He stated that electronic voting machines would not be used in the country’s general elections. “The opposition should be relieved that technology will not be used in the next general election,” he continued.

In a surprise move, President Arif Alvi approved the dissolution of the National Assembly on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s advice.

This significant political development occurred shortly after National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri rejected voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling it “unconstitutional.”

The Assembly has been dissolved by official notification. Elections are expected to take place within 90 days, according to sources.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Supreme Court has taken notice of the country’s current political and constitutional crisis.
