Special assistant to Health Prime Minister Dr. Faisal Sultan on Monday received his first dose of the Sinopharm Coronavirus vaccine.
Taking to Twitter, Aide Prime Minister shares images where it can be seen injected with a vaccine on his left arm.

“I registered myself as a healthcare worker on http://Covid.gov.pk/vaccine and received a PIN & instructions. Got my 1st dose of vaccine (Sinopharm) today & feeling fine,” he tweeted.

Dr. Faisal suggested other health professionals under the age of 60 to be vaccinated. “Protect yourself and someone else,” he tweeted.

In other tweets, he described how health workers above the age of 60 can be vaccinated next month.
“If you are a healthcare worker and over the age of 60, please send your CNIC to 1166 and you will be vaccinated using the AstraZeneca vaccine in early March, inshallah,” he tweeted.

Pakistan to get a 5.6mn Coronavirus vaccine dose in March

About 5.6 million covid vaccine doses are expected to arrive in this country at the end of March 2021, the National Command and the Operations Center (NCOC) said on Sundays.

Of these, 2.8 million doses of GAVI / Covax are expected to achieve in the first week of March and 2.8 million doses in the second week of March.

This country has managed to vaccinate 72,882 FLHCWS health workers under the strategy of national vaccination so far being carried out simultaneously throughout the country.

A total of 17.1 million doses will reach Pakistan at the end of June 2021 which will help run a national vaccination drive, NCOC said.

However, registration of residents over the age of 60 years has also begun. Senior citizens can sms their CNIC number in 1166 to register for yourself for vaccines.

In addition, the registration of public health workers has also begun. They can register at www.covid.gov.pk/vaccine.
