The royal family has been strained as a result of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The pair made scathing comments about bigotry and said Meghan was refused psychiatric treatment for suicidal thoughts.
Some suggested at the time that the decision was made to raise their own prestige in order to achieve independence from the throne.
According to Jan Moir, a columnist for the Daily Mail, the Sussexes must continue to be dismissive of the royal family if they want to increase their influence and prestige.
“What sets these brothers apart is what is at stake – a kingdom versus stardom.
“For the Sussexes can only truly establish themselves as celebrities in America if they throw the Cambridges under the woke bus.”
