Since Prince Harry and Meghan resigned from their royal duties, fans of the royal family have been demanding that their titles be taken away.
Recently, one of the couple’s detractors stated, “The title was bestowed upon them at their wedding on the grounds that they would serve the monarchy as working royals. This title may not be used for personal financial gain as it is no longer valid. As a result, it serves no purpose and needs to be removed.”
Marlene Koinig, a royal expert, claimed that it was only feasible if the parliament decided to revoke their titles.
She stated: “Harry received the title along with the dukedom’s succession to his male line ancestors. In the patent letters, only Harry is mentioned. Titles can only be removed by Parliament,”
