Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed his economic team on Thursday to prepare a detailed strategy for relevant national economic reforms and to take immediate steps to control inflation.
The Prime Minister, while chairing a meeting on the country’s current economic situation, stated that steps should be taken at all costs to improve the economic situation of the common man.
The Ministry of Finance briefed the Prime Minister on the country’s current economic situation.
PM Shehbaz stated that urgent efforts are being made to strengthen the economy of the country. He told his economic team to come up with a detailed plan for reforms.
In addition, he issued directives directing that efforts to control inflation be made on a priority basis.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy presented the prime minister with a charge sheet detailing the former government’s “incompetence.”

During the meeting, the premier was informed that there was no electricity shortage in the country, but that industries were shut down due to a lack of fuel and technical faults, and that some of the units of 18 powerhouses were dysfunctional due to technical faults, and that seven power plants were shut down due to a lack of fuel.
The prime minister expressed his displeasure with the situation and demanded that the flaws and flaws be addressed immediately.
