In Peshawar, JUI-F Village Council candidate Zakaria Khan lost his life by firing in the air while celebrating his victory.
According to police, a case will be registered after investigation of the incident.
Yesterday, the tribal district of Khyber was making a battlefield during the local body elections. Six people were killed and several others were injured in rocket attacks, shootings and suicide bombings during the polls.
In Dara Adamkhel Tehsil of Kohat, armed men also stormed the polling station, set fire to ballot boxes, and attacked the polling stations of Zakhakhel and Landi Kotal.
The women’s polling stations in Buner and Nowshera were also attacked.
