Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Muhammad Saleem Baig has assured the Election Commission of every possible cooperation in ensuring impartial and transparent election.
He gave this assurance during a meeting with Secretary Election Commissioner in Islamabad today.
PEMRA Chief briefed about the complete implementation of the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and progress made so far.
The ECP secretary has requested the media through PEMRA for complete implementation of the code of conduct. According to the code of conduct, the announcement of any result before 7 p.m. will be prohibited. Moreover, the commission has also made arrangements for the establishment of a media cell to provide authentic and prompt election results.
