Nick Jonas has posted a new album called “This Is Heaven.” On the twitter, the official audio is making the rounds.
He debuted the pop song from his forthcoming album Spaceman, which is influenced by the 1980s. On February 27, he performed the song for the first time on Saturday Night Live. He does, however, seem to have a special relation to the album.
Nick Jonas explained that the song is unique to him in a recent interview. The song was inspired by Jonas’ reunion with his wife, Priyanka Chopra, he revealed.
“It was only intended to capture the euphoric feeling of being with your person,” he said. It’s clearly a sentimental thing for me, but I think everyone that listens to this album… it’s just about the feeling of when we’re going to do that first regular thing again, or when we’re going to see friends and family we haven’t seen in maybe a year or more. And it’s just meant to make you feel like tossing your hands in the air and exclaiming, “Oh, finally.”
When she was filming Matrix 4 in Germany, Priyanka Chopra and her husband were divorced.
The Jumanji star also revealed that the sound for ‘This Is Paradise’ was inspired by both past and current musical influences.
“A big influence for me on the sound of them was Peter Gabriel and Steve Winwood and weirdly things like Drake and The Weeknd as well,” said Jonas. “So it kind of got all these different 80s influences and inspirations, but this definitely has that Steve Winwood, Michael Bolton kind of feel with the sax solo and just, it’s a good time.”
