LHC Suspends TLP Chief Saad Rizvi’s Detention, Orders Release
Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended orders for detention of banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Hussain Rizvi, ordering his release.
The court issued the orders after while hearing an application filed by Saad Rizvi’s uncle Ameer Hussain.
On July 2, the provincial review board had dismissed the government’s application under MPO to extend Saad Rizvi’s detention.
Saad Rizvi was detained once again on July 10 under the Anti-Terrorism Act after the plea to extend his detention was rejected.
