ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Javaria Zafar, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA and Parliamentary Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, escaped a gun assault purportedly carried out by her husband Haider Ali in the Parliament Lodges on Wednesday.
According to a FIR filed with the Islamabad women’s police station, the ruling party’s legislators was unharmed in the gunshots at the Parliament Lodges. She said that her husband attempted to murder her with a firearm, but she was unharmed in the encounter.
Javaria Zafar was married to Haider Ali Baloch six months ago. The couple battled over a minor matter, and Javaria decided to seek ‘Khula’ from the court. Haider Ali then pulled out a revolver and fired fire on his wife, thankfully she was unharmed as the bullet hit the wall of their room.
According to the FIR, Haider also threatened to harm Javaria Zafar and her family. The MNA urged that the suspects be prosecuted.
