According to reports, Khan has been taken to a hospital after sustaining a leg injury.
Asad Umar, a former minister, informed him that Khan had been transferred to Lahore.
Nine people have been hurt overall, and one person has died as a result of the attack. After shots were fired at Khan, tense situations developed close to the PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) reception camp at Allahwala Chowk in Gujranwala.
Khan reportedly suffered leg wounds from bullets, according to Geo News. Injuries were also sustained by a number of other people, including PTI leader Faisal Javed. The police have detained the suspect who fired on Khan’s container.
With an AK-47, the former prime minister was wounded in the leg. Khan was the target of an assassination attempt, according to PTI leaders.
Khan was removed from office in April of this year as a result of a no-trust motion brought by the opposition, which many claimed had Army support. Khan has taken a very tough stance against the Army as well as the government of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ever since his ouster.
