Faris Shafi, who happens to be the singer Meesha Shafi’s brother had his song ‘Clap’ been nominated for the Lux style Awards as the Best Song.
Faris took it to twitter to request the organizers of the LSA to take down his award and added that his partner, Talal Qureshi who had been featured in the song has decided to drop out from the LSA.

He made it clear that he neither would be attending the ceremony nor will endorse the award.
Faris Shafi is not the only celebrity that had dropped out of the LSA due to sharing the same place as the alleged se**xual harasser.
Multiple celebrities have stood in union with Meesha Shafi, and for the universal cause of fight against se**xual harassment through the #metoo movement.
