Ananya Panday, a Bollywood actress, is the latest celebrity to make headlines in the wake of Aryan Khan’s ongoing drug scandal.
Officials from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) were seen at her home yesterday and summoned to appear before them. The actress was also seen arriving at the office for the questioning session. She was grilled for nearly two hours, and she has to appear before them again today for the second round.
According to news reports, during the questioning round, Ananya was asked about her conversations with Aryan Khan, during which she agreed to arrange ‘ganja’ for him but later said she was ‘joking’ to NCB.
“At one point in the conversation between Aryan Khan and Ananya Pandey, Aryan was talking to Ananya about ganja,” NCB sources said. Aryan was asking if there was any ‘jugaad’ that could be done to arrange the weed to which Ananya Panday responded, “I will arrange.”
When the NCB showed this chat to Ananya Panday during the questioning on Thursday, she replied, “I was just joking.”
Ananya Pandey told the NCB that she had studied at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School with Aryan Khan. Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan’s sister, is also Ananya’s close friend. They are all family friends, according to her.
Ananya told the NCB officers that aside from the shooting schedule, they all get together and hang out together. They get together whenever they have free time.
Ananya also told NCB officials that she had never used drugs or supplied anyone with them. When asked about her conversations with Aryan Khan, she said she didn’t remember much because the conversations were so long ago.
