After launching investigations against big fishes of Pakistan’s politics, now Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is on hit list of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over alleged corruption, sources said.
As per reports, two complaints of getting a government helicopter for his official use insure for Rs70 million, instead of Rs30 million, and getting a liquor-sale permit to a private hotel in Lahore, has been filed against CM Buzdaar. The sources further said that NAB had initiated proceedings for verification of the corruption complaints, for which the anti-graft body’s Lahore bureau issued the directives.
Meanwhile, Punjab government spokesperson Shahbaz Gill said “There can be no financial embezzlement if it’s the government institution which is the insurance company,” Gill said. “The disparity in figures is because we have to take dollar’s appreciation into consideration and the time span of insurance is one year and nine months.” Well the confirmation reports have not come yet.
Its worth mentioning that big names of politics including, Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto, Faryal Talpur, Aleem Khan, Murad Ali Shah, Qaim Ali Shah, Agha Siraj Durrani and many others are facing National Accountability Bureau after corruption allegations.
