Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday (June 27) hold separate meetings with Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to a statement issued by PML-N, the Afghan president offered condolence over the demise of Begum Kulsum Nawaz. The statement said that the Afghan president also expressed his good wishes for Mian Nawaz. Dr. Ashraf Ghani hailed the development projects initiated by the PML-N and the role of Mian Nawaz Sharif in regional peace and security. He said that he had met Mian Shahbaz Sharif for the first time in 1980.

According a statement issued by PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari led a PPP delegation during meeting with the Afghan president. Bilawal Bhutto welcomed the visit of the Afghan president. Farhatullah Babar and Sherry Rehman were also present on this occasion. The statement said that they discussed the matters of mutual interests and relations between the two countries. Bilawal expressed his good wishes for the ongoing Afghan peace process.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan exchanged thoughts on various issues with President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani in a one-on-one meeting held in the federal capital. Talks on ongoing US-Afghan dialogue took place during the meeting between the two leaders.
